1920’s VITALDI BABANI ‘DELPHOS’ GOWN

Price on Request.

Rare, circa 1920’s Vitaldi Babani Haute Couture. A finely micro-pleated black silk gown, inspired by the ‘Delphos’ gown of Venetian couturier Mariano Fortuny.

Labelled ‘Babani, 98 bd Haussmann Paris.’ The Parisian house of Babani was founded in 1894 and began as an importer of exotic goods and ‘objets d’art,’ stocking garments by Fortuny and importing textiles by Liberty & Co.

The gown will accommodate a range of sizes due to its pleated construction. Very Good Vintage Condition, with only minor signs of wear along the hemline that have been professionally repaired.
